Hiring a new Account Executive

RisingWave is an open-source and cloud-native stream processing database designed for real-time data processing at scale. We help engineering teams simplify data pipelines, power real-time analytics, and build modern applications with streaming-first architectures.
The Role
We're looking for two high-performing Account Executives to help us identify, engage, and close new customers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical, fast-moving environment and is passionate about helping customers solve complex data problems. You'll work closely with sales leadership, marketing, and our world-class engineering team to bring the value of RisingWave to enterprises across industries.
What You'll Do
Own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and qualifying leads to closing new deals.
Identify target accounts, map stakeholders, and develop multi-threaded relationships.
Partner with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) and marketing to build a strong pipeline.
Work closely with Sales Engineers to deliver compelling demos, proofs-of-concept, and technical discussions.
Negotiate contracts and navigate enterprise procurement processes.
Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date forecasting in the CRM.
What We're Looking For
3–6 years of quota-carrying sales experience in B2B SaaS or data infrastructure (databases, streaming platforms, analytics tools, etc.).
Strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Experience selling to technical buyers (data engineers, architects, platform teams).
Excellent communication, storytelling, and relationship-building skills.
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-growing, early-stage environment.
Comfort with remote collaboration across time zones.
Nice to Have
Experience in open-source or developer-first sales motions.
Background in cloud, streaming, or data engineering technologies.
Previous startup experience.
